The Saiyan Genocide is a major event that occurred presumably around Age 735[1] predating before the beginning of the story, that concludes with the destruction of the home world of Son Gokū, and nearly eliminating the Saiyans to extinction. After a hostile confrontation with Hakaishin, Beerus he leaves the task to destroy Vegeta to Freeza,[2] fueled by his own ulterior motives in eliminating them based on xenophobia and paranoia of both a Super Saiyan and the Super Saiyan God.[1]
