"The Wish to Shenron" (神龍への願い, Shenron e no Negai; FUNimation "A Wish to the Eternal Dragon"; Literally meaning "The Wish to the Dragon God") is the twelfth episode of the Dragon Ball anime.

Summary

Desperate to stop Pilaf, and just as Gokū manages to destroy the wall with another Kamehameha, Oolong interrupts his wish for world domination with his own: a pair of underpants. This wish is granted, Shenron disappears, and the seven balls scatter all over the earth. Furious, Pilaf sends Mai and Shū after Oolong and Pu'ar, and noticing Gokū, Yamcha and Bulma escaped, he orders them executed. Many guard dogs suddenly appear: some chase Oolong and Pu'ar and others corner Gokū, Yamcha and Bulma. Gokū and Yamcha beat these dogs to protect Bulma, and on their way out they find Oolong and Pu'ar. Before they can leave, Mai and Shū corner them with another pack of dogs. They are transported to a room with a glass ceiling that gathers energy from the sun and heats up. By morning, they will be burnt alive. Gokū and Yamcha try to break down the walls, but fail. Pu'ar notices the full moon and Gokū warns them about a monster that appears during the full moon. This monster (which was Gokū, but he has no memory of this) trampled his grandfather Gohan to death, and that before that his grandfather told him never to look at the moon. He then accidentally looks at it and transforms into a Giant Monkey.
